Last year we posted a photo gallery on our website for our vacation rental guests to upload their favorite photos from their beach vacation. These guests were entered into our photo contest with a chance to win a week's stay on the Isle of Palms. We were overwhelmed by the amount of entries received and we have quite a few talented photographers amongst our guests! We received nature scenes, many sunrises, pets, kids, and some sentimental pictures including one of someone's first time seeing the ocean.
What we didn't expect was how much fun the Island Realty staff would have choosing the winner! The marketing department narrowed it down to 6 photos after viewing over 200 . We then emailed the photos to the staff to vote for their favorite photo. Everyone had different opinions of course and had many comments about the pics. After all votes were in the winner was of a photo that ironically represented our South Carolina state flag symbol of the crescent moon and palm tree. The picture was taken outside of Morgan Creek Grill, restaurant on the Isle of Palms.
Donna of SD, the winner - "There is a group of us. We are all ladies over 50 years of age, from throughout the US. We call ourselves "Ladybugs". Each year we pick a place to meet and gather for a few days. The number of ladies that go range from 7-20. We have been doing these trips for about 10 years or so. You will find this amazing but we all met on the internet. We visit with each other daily.
This year we decided on Charleston and we wanted to be by a beach and selected Isle of Palms. The house was just wonderful. It was fully furnished and very clean. The décor was attractive and it was just perfect for our group. To me it was a special house that was well cared for and loved by the owner. We left some notes in the house guest book saying just that and she (the owner) emailed us back thanking us for our comments. Our whole experience on the island as well as Charleston was simply great. Now I get to return and that is even better!"
Congratulations Donna & a special thank you to all of our entrants!
