2009 Cooper River Bridge Run Pics

You couldn't ask for a more beautiful day especially after the torrential downpour we had on Thursday. To have over 33,000 participants, the 10K was well organized for the most part except for the walkers getting in the runners' way as always. I was one of those walkers! We began on the left side & tried our best to hurriedly weave our way through to the right side without tripping over anyone or getting trampled! We took a leisurely scenic stroll taking in the sights & the people watching was the absolute best! Men dressed in mini skirts, team mascots, jugglers...you name it...it was amongst the crowd for sure! Turning around from the top of the Ravenel aka Cooper River Bridge to see the mass of people behind us was quite a sight to see. It took no time to take the shuttle back to Mt. Pleasant after the race which was a nice surprise. We waited less than 3 minutes to board. My results were 1:51:12. I obviously was in no hurry; however, I did finish in the top 28,ooo!
