Isle of Palms Catch of the Day

This past weekend, 10/3/09, Art, owner of a Sea Cabin Villa in Isle of Palms caught a magnificant redfish off the private fishing pier at the Sea Cabins. Great catch, Art!
Send us images/stories about your best catch! (Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island, Dewees Island, in-shore fishing along Charleston's waterways, etc...)

Redfish is a common name for several species of fish. It is most commonly applied to members of the deep-sea genus Sebastes, or the reef dwelling snappers, Lutjanus. It is also applied to the slimeheads or roughies (family Trachichthyidae), and the alfonsinos (Berycidae). Other common names are spottailed bass, red drum, ocean perch & Norway redfish.
